What is AT?
AT is defined as Assistive Technology and means any item, piece of equipment or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of a person with a disability.
What is DME?
DME is Durable Medical Equipment and is generally defined as sturdy, long lasting items and appliances that can withstand repeated use, are designed primarily to serve a medical purpose and are not generally useful to a person in the absence of a medical condition, illness or injury.
